The Facts: Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer pulled Holmes out of the game after the second of two arguments that occurred in the offensive huddle in the fourth quarter.
Diehards Line:The story coming out on the reason why Holmes was not on the field is not a good one. According to one unnamed teammate, "He quit. It's happened for the past two or three weeks. It's happened all season."
Schottenheimer had receiver's coach Henry Ellard send in Patrick Turner to take the place of Holmes. When Turner got to the huddle, he told Holmes to "get out of here," and then went on to catch a touchdown pass himself. Holmes was targeted one time for zero catches in the game. His future as a Jet seems to be in jeopardy.
