The Facts: Suzy Kolber of ESPN reports by way of Adam Schefter that Kolb will receive his $7 million roster bonus, according to team source.
Diehards Line:The news comes as no real surprise. ESPN is reporting the Cardinals have been informed they are out of the running for Peyton Manning and Kolb is the fallback plan. ... As the Arizona Republic noted this morning, Kolb's only season in Arizona was difficult. He struggled to adapt to an offense that was dramatically different from the one he played in while with the Eagles. Kolb missed seven complete games and most of an eighth because of injuries -- a foot injury caused him to miss four of those, and a concussion kept him out of the final three games of the season. ... On a more positive -- or at least hopeful -- note, Kolb will have the benefit of a full offseason to gain a better understanding of the offense and Arizona's staff gets a better chance to coach him up. Will it be enough? John Skelton is the new fallback option if Kolb fails to deliver.
