The Facts: Owner Jim Irsay has been saying a lot about the team's first overall pick on Twitter, even if much of it is indecipherable. Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson provided on Wednesday a Twitter-free update regarding the team's plans. "We've exhausted the process, pretty much made up our mind," Ryan Grigson said at a pre-draft press conference. "We're going to go from there."
Diehards Line:Grigson wouldn't disclose the pick, but he praised both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. Grigson said the selection will be announced on April 26, the first day of the draft. ... As PFT's Mike Florio notes, the Colts could sign the first pick to a contract now, if they choose to do so. The fact that the rookie wage scale significantly reduces the available money and streamlines the negotiating process means that it would be much easier to work out a pre-draft deal than it was in past years. ...
