Jones caught 31 passes for 512 yards last season as Andre Johnson, the Texans' top receiver, battled injuries much of the season. Texans' fans likely will remember Jones' muffed punt in the first quarter of a loss to Baltimore in an AFC divisional playoff game. Legedu Naanee, the Panthers' No. 2 wideout last season, recently signed with Miami as a free agent. The Panthers have a pair of third-year receivers currently in line for the second receiver spot – Brandon LaFell and David Gettis, who missed all of 2011 after tearing his ACL in training camp. LaFell caught 36 passes for for 613 yards and three touchdowns last season. His 91-yard touchdown catch in a 48-16 win against Tampa Bay was the longest offensive play in team history. ... Stay tuned.
