The Facts: The coach who famously shies away from making comparisons made quite a statement Friday while talking about his leading receiver from the 2011 regular season. HC Jim Harbaugh said Crabtree has the best hands he has ever seen.
Diehards Line:For some perspective, CSNBayArea.com's Matt Maiocco reminded readers that Marvin Harrison was his favorite target in Harbaugh's last two seasons with the Colts. Jerry Rice and Tim Brown were with the Raiders during Harbaugh's two seasons in Oakland as an assistant. As Maiocco went on to concede, however, there's no denying Crabtree has very good hands. A large number of his team-leading 72 receptions last season involved beyond-routine efforts to secure the catch. But in terms of being a great overall receiver, it seems there are still some questions about off-season work ethic and attitude -- although the diva reputation seems to less of an issue with each passing year. In the end, Crabtree still has a lot to prove to Fantasy owners with some of the biggest question marks (the team's run-first attack and the presence of newcomers Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and A.J. Jenkins) outside his control.
