The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ...HC Pete Carroll is doing more than paying lip service to the idea that the Seahawks have a three-way competition for the QB job. John Boyle of the Everett Herald passes along word that the team is giving equal reps to Matt Flynn, Tarvaris Jackson and Russell Wilson at their OTA this week.
Diehards Line:As PFT's Josh Alper notes, Carroll and GM John Schneider have been pushing the open competition all offseason, and it seems they are sticking to their word -- for now. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out as we get closer to -- and get into -- training camp. At some point, the competition must end because giving first-team snaps to backup QBs doesn't make your team better. ... We still expect Flynn to win the starting job, but it's very early. Stay tuned.
