The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ... Asked on his radio show on 105.3 the fan Tuesday morning to explain why he hasn't talked to Bryant about the incident which could potentially take him off the field under the NFL's personal conduct policy if he is found guilty, owner Jerry Jones was straight and to the point. "Because I'm too pissed to talk to him," Jones said. The Cowboys owner expanded on his feelings when he talked to reporters after practice on Tuesday. "One of the reasons is I didn't want to talk to him emotionally," Jones said. "As a daddy sometimes, you're not supposed to spank when you're mad. Like I said the other day, I wanted to get my information, but I also wanted to get my mind right so we could have a good talk about things."
Diehards Line:Jones did acknowledge that has now talked to Bryant about the incident and while he wouldn't characterize the meeting as one that makes him feel better about the situation he said they had a great visit. "I don't have a feeling one way or another," Jones said. "But we have talked and we have talked extensively. We had a great visit. ..." On a more positive note, Jones does feel good about the way Bryant has practiced the first two days of camp. The legal issue has not been a distraction as he has been one of the best players on the field. His only problem has been battling painful blisters on both feet. "He's been very impressive," Jones said. "And he's working hard. He has big blisters on both feet. He's practicing lights out. He's practicing really well." He better be.
