The Facts: Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert left Sunday's game against Houston after suffering a left leg injury in the third quarter. After an impressive Week 1 outing in which he passed for 260 yards and two touchdowns, Gabbert completed just 7-of-19 pass attempts for 53 passing yards and one touchdown. Gabbert was seen sitting on bench with an ice pack on his thigh. Chad Henne replaced him.
Diehards Line:Unless the injury turns out to be more serious than it looked, don't expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to bail on Gabbert after one bad game. While Henne isn't the worst backup signal called in the league, Gabbert's continued growth and development is in the team's best interest and they're clearly committed to making it happen.
