The Facts: Following up on a previous item, New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw will have an MRI on his neck on Monday. The injury occurred in the second quarter when Bradshaw tried to gain more yards at the end of a run and took a hard shot to the neck. Bradshaw had X-rays immediately following the injury and returned to the sidelines in the second half to watch the Giants come from behind win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Andre Brown received the bulk of the workload in Bradshaw's absence. He carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards, caught two passes for 19 yards, and scored the game-winning touchdown on a two-yard run with 31 seconds left.
Diehards Line:While we won't know how serious Bradshaw's injury is until the MRI results are in, there's a good chance that he'll miss the team's Week 3 match-up in Carolina on Thursday night. Could be something of a shared backfield situation between Andre Brown and rookie David Wilson with Bradshaw out. The talented Wilson could prove to be more valuable if Bradshaw missed extensive time, however Brown looks like the better pickup if you need a "Mr. Right Now" replacement in Week 3.
