The Facts: New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has been carted off the field in the fourth quarter after sustaining what appears to be a serious knee injury. Holmes made a catch, planted to make a cut, then crumpled to the ground. Looked like his left knee gave out on him, similar to what happened to Darrelle Revis last week. Holmes dropped the ball as he fell to the ground and 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers returned it for a touchdown. Jets confirm that Holmes is done for the day.
Diehards Line:We'll have to wait for the official diagnosis, but it looks like Holmes may have torn his ACL. Stephen Hill is out with a hamstring injury. Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley may well be the starting receivers for Jets in Week 5.
