The Facts: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers early in the second quarter of Sunday's 28-27 win over the New Orleans Saints. It was Jennings only reception of the game, his first score of the season and the 50th touchdown reception of his career. The catch moved him into the No. 6 spot for most touchdown receptions in Packers' franchise history. Jennings exited the game after the score and did not return. The team announced he would miss the rest of the game with a groin injury. He only played 13 snaps in the first half. During his post-game presser, head coach Mike McCarthy said Jennings' groin was bothering him so they played it safe. The seven-year pro has 12 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown through four games.
Diehards Line:Soft tissue injuries like Jennings' groin problem tend to linger, and it's very possible that he'll be sidelined for one or two weeks at least. Jennings initially injured the groin in Week 1, sat out the team's Week 2 contest against the Chicago Bears and returned for Monday's controversial loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The Packers face the Colts in Week 5, and with Jennings' status in doubt, James Jones would get the start in his place, while Randall Cobb would likely see more snaps playing out of the slot. Jones caught five passes for 56 yards and a pair of scores versus the Saints in Week 4. He's playing more consistently than he has in the past, and while he's not a game breaker per se, Jones has earned Aaron Rodgers' trust. He could have low-WR2/high WR3 value while Jennings is out. Cobb had seven catches for 66 yards on eight targets in Week 4.
