The Facts: According to CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora, the 49ers have expressed to others that a deal to trade Smith is effectively complete.

Diehards Line:La Canfora went on to note the deal can't be finalized until the league year begins on March 12. But even though it's not official, La Canfora advised his Twitter followers that both clubs view it at as if it's effectively done.
