The Facts: The investigation into Jones-Drew’s possible involvement in an incident on May 26 has gone to the State Attorney’s Office. St. Augustine Police Department spokesman Mark Samson said information in the case was forwarded to the State Attorney R.J. Larizza’s office on Friday morning. The prosecutor’s office will decide whether to charge the Jacksonville Jaguar, Samson said.

Diehards Line: The department had been trying to schedule an interview with Jones-Drew before forwarding the case, but that interview did not occur. In other words, the case is moving forward even though Jones-Drew didn't give a statement as expected. In case you haven't been following along, a St. Augustine Police Department report indicated that Jones-Drew was involved in an altercation on May 26 at the Conch House Marina. Security guard, Kasim Howard, was punched and knocked out during the fight. The attorneys for the Conch House and Howard have said there is a video that shows Jones-Drew hit the security guard. Jones-Drew’s representatives have denied the football star was involved in the altercation. ... Jones-Drew spent this week training in Miami, but is expected to report to the Jaguars’ mandatory mini-camp next week and also speak to reporters for the first time since the incident. Stay tuned.
