The delay means Lynch is unlikely to have a trial until after the 2013 NFL season. As NFL.com's Chris Wesseling points out, because the NFL is reluctant to impose discipline before the legal process plays out, the Seahawks probably won't have to worry about losing Lynch to suspension during the season.
