The Facts: The Giants would also like to re-sign Nicks at some point, but preliminary talks with his agent went nowhere, according to an NFL source, and in recent interviews Nicks has sounded very lukewarm about re-signing with the Giants before he becomes an unrestricted free agent next spring.

Diehards Line: This after the team agreed to terms on a new five-year, $43 million deal with Victor Cruz. The Giants have made it clear that retaining Nicks is a priority. But it sounds like that might not be a mutual thing. Then again, it doesn't have to be.
