The Facts: Wilson, who has not played since injuring his neck in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 6, will have an MRI on his neck this week that Dr. Robert Watkins will review to determine when or if he's able to play again this season, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diehards Line:
It is the second MRI that Watkins will examine, and he wants to compare it to the first to see how much Wilson's neck has healed. Accoording to Schefter, the Giants want to be careful with their former first-round pick, and they have running back Andre Brown, who scored eight touchdowns last season, eligible to play Sunday when New York returns from its bye and hosts the Oakland Raiders. Because of the injuries to Brown and Wilson, the Giants have had five different starting running backs in the season's first eight weeks. Brandon Jacobs and Peyton Hillis have handled the bulk of the work the last three weeks.
