The Facts:
A source says the Rams are open to an extension for Bradford, who is due $27 million over the next two years.
Diehards Line:
According to CBSSports.com insider Jason La Canfora, a longer deal would still be a surprise to many because adding guaranteed money beyond the current deal would make it cumbersome for the team to part with Bradford. Prior to his ACL injury in Ocotber, the Rams reportedly had interest in extending that deal. Remember, he was making solid progress when the running game finally got going in Week 5, but he was hurt two weeks later. His passer rating was over 111 in the three games after the Rams lost three of their first four games. Bradford expects to be ready for full duty when training camp opens. And he could have a new -- cap-friendlier -- deal that would secure his status as the team's undisputed starter.
