The Facts: According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, Titans officials have assured him they'll do everything in their power to keep McNair as their starter while developing first-round pick Vince Young.
Diehards Line:It makes sense -- if they can come to terms on a new contract. McNair is currently slated to count for almost $24 million against this year's cap. Staying on board could be more appealing for McNair, who has a good relationship with Young and might enjoy mentoring the newcomer. But first, McNair has to get past the Titans barring him from their facility and restructure that burdensome contract.
