The Facts:
Gramatica underwent surgery last week to fix a problem that his brother said had been bothering him for more than two years. The procedure repaired tears in Gramatica's lower adductor and lower abdomen, both on the right side. The Bucs cut Gramatica last December after he missed eight field-goal attempts, including two misses and a block against Carolina on Nov. 28. He also struggled with consistency during the 2003 season, when he made only 61.5 percent of his field goals.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Gramatica signed with the Colts a week after the Bucs released him, but he became a free agent when the season ended. This development doesn't improve his chances of catching on with somebody over the next few months.
