Titans Sign Antowain Smith
(7/22 2:24 PT)

The Facts:
The move comes a day after the team cut Eddie George when the 32-year old Smith agreed to take substantially less than the $2.5 million base salary demanded by George.  Reported by the Associated Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The 232-pound Smith led New England in rushing each of his three seasons as a Patriot. Over a career that includes four seasons with Buffalo -- where he was a 1997 first-round pick -- he has rushed for 5,713 yards and has a 3.9 yards per carry average. However, the Titans view Chris Brown as their running back of the future and the second-year man will be given every opportunity to prove himself worthy of that distinction.
