Eddie George Agrees To Terms With Cowboys
(7/23 9:46 PT)

The Facts:
George agreed to a contract with Dallas just two days after being released by the Tennessee Titans, according to a team source. George's deal was pending a physical. A news conference is scheduled for later this afternoon.  Reported by the Associated Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to those who follow the team closely, head coach Bill Parcells may envision George playing a role similar to the one Ottis Anderson fulfilled for him with the New York Giants from 1986-90. A big back who rarely fumbled, Anderson signed with the Giants when he turned 29 and rushed for 1,023 yards and a career-high 14 touchdowns in 1989. The Cowboys selected running back Julius Jones in the second round of the April draft but do not want him to handle a heavy workload.
