Hutchinson said the Cowboys informed his agent on Friday that they will waive the quarterback before training camp begins next week.

Hutchinson is unhappy the team waited so long to make a decision, especially after signing Testaverde and trading for Henson, because it hurts his chances of finding a job. Once he is released, Hutchinson will have to pass through waivers, and if he is not claimed, he can sign with any team. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will take Quincy Carter – who beat out Hutchinson for the job last season – Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson and Tony Romo to camp.
