Displeased with the lack of a long-term contract offer, James boycotted a mandatory three-day mini-camp and did not participate in its voluntary four-week summer school. He spent the summer working out at the University of Miami and is said to be in great shape. ... Despite his evasiveness, there's no reason to believe he won't report on time -- or at least something very close to on time.
