Moats inked a four-year contract on Wednesday. Moats is the fifth of 11 Eagles 2005 draft choices to sign with the team. A playmaking edge runner, Moats figures to be the third halfback entering training camp, which officially begins with a team meeting for rookies and selected veterans on July 29.

Moats was able to take a lot of reps and have a crash course on the West Coast offense during the spring mini-camps. Some believe his arrival, coupled with Brian Westbrook and the return of a healthy Correll Buckhalter, could give the Eagles an updated version of a three-headed monster in the backfield.
