The Facts:
The team's top pick was not signed in time to take part in coach Romeo Crennel's first practice of training camp today, but nobody was surprised. "Unless there's an upset, I don't expect to see him," General Manager Phil Savage said on Thursday. Edwards is the team's fifth No. 1 pick in as many years to miss practice time because of a contract dispute.
