The Facts:
Brett Favre has no issues with Bubba Franks for being absent from training camp and is urging the team to re-sign the veteran tight end soon. "I know I was vocal about Javon [Walker's] deal but Bubba's case is a little bit different," Favre said Sunday. "I hope we get him back soon. We need him. No doubt about it. I think the Packers know that, too."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Favre was unyielding in his criticism of Walker, who threatened to hold out in order to renegotiate the final two years of his contract before finally reporting. Franks, however, is precluded from working without a contract. The Packers have offered long-term contract worth about $2.5 million per year, but Franks is seeking closer to $4 million per year. The two sides reportedly haven't talked in about two weeks.
