While quarterback Rex Grossman will also be under the microscope, running back Thomas Jones may have more to do with the success of the offense than anyone, and he may be the player most worth watching during the next three weeks.

The report adds there is no doubt in coaches' minds that Jones is the featured running back heading into training camp. Thomas may get some opportunities to show he can still contribute, but Jones is the main man. As offensive coordinator Terry Shea, who believes Jones can blossom in his offense much as Holmes did in Kansas City, put it: "[Jones has] a real natural feel for the passing game. He's got great quickness out of the break, and I won't hesitate to put in some option routes with him because he gives us that kind of skill." We'll see. ... Watch closely this summer before committing to either on draft day (unless Thomas winds up in Miami).
