The Facts:
The Browns were set to have another conversation with agent Lamont Smith on Thursday night as talks continue to try to sign Edwards, who has missed one week of training camp and 10 full-team practices. General manager Phil Savage said he wasn't surprised that things have taken this long. "There seems to be a window in there that you work with," Savage said.
