Taylor has been ruled out of the Jaguars' first preseason game and the team can only hope that will be the exception. But with Taylor's knee still in questionable shape, there are fears that it will be the rule.

Taylor missed the last two games last year, and according to observers, offseason rehab hasn't returned him to anywhere near the speed he showed in his seven previous NFL seasons. Jack Del Rio said the starter probably will be third-year man LaBrandon Toefield with rookie Alvin Pearman in reserve.
