The Facts:
When Stephen Davis returns to action, which is likely to be in this Thursday's preseason finale against Pittsburgh, DeShaun Foster believes he will be headed to the bench. "We all know Stephen's the starter. That's just how it is," Foster said. "And we've got a good player right there, so it's going to help the team out and we're glad to have him back. Now we're just trying to get him ready for the season."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
"Get him ready for the season" is the key phrase, because he's not there yet. Davis hasn't played in a game since last Oct. 17 at Philadelphia. He subsequently underwent microfracture surgery on the knee and has made it through a total of three practices this year. ... We realize there is considerable buzz surrounding this situation, but strongly recommend a common sense approach.
