The Facts:
With injuries to Duce Staley and Jerome Bettis, Parker might have to start for the Steelers in the opener against the Tennessee Titans. "I'm ready for whatever," Parker told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I'm ready for what the NFL brings, I'm ready for what the defense brings and I'll just go out there and play my game."

Bettis injured his calf in Friday's loss to Washington. He had an MRI on Saturday, but the team did not update his condition.
