The Facts:
Colts owner Jim Irsay revealed on Sunday night that Dungy has been given a three-year extension through the 2009 season. Dungy, 49, is in his fourth year as Colts coach and improved his record to 38-17 with a season-opening 24-7 win at Baltimore on Sunday night.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Indianapolis made the playoffs in each of Dungy's first three seasons, including a trip to the AFC championship game in 2003. The Colts won two division titles in that span, but were knocked out of the playoffs each of the last two years by eventual Super Bowl champion New England. ... We suspect that as long as Dungy is running the show from the sidelines (and Peyton Manning is running the offense on the field), the Colts will continue to be a very successful franchise.
