The Facts:
The MRI on David Akers was better than what the Eagles anticipated. Akers suffered a hamstring strain against the 49ers. Andy Reid said in his day-after press conference that Akers' is day-to-day. "We'll see how he feels," Reid said. "We've done the medical part. [Trainers] will do treatment on the area. ..." Reid also added wide receiver Terrell Owens to the injury report with a lower abdomen strain.

Just in case Akers can't play this Sunday against Oakland, Reid said the team will audition kickers this week -- both veterans and younger guys. If the Eagles do bring someone else in, he will be expected to handle both field goals and kickoffs. ... Owens told Reid it was bothering him after the game Sunday. Reid said the Eagles will see how Owens responds to treatment over the next few days. ... More as developments warrant.
