The Facts:
Martin, who took a beating during a grueling 31-carry, 72-yard day in Sunday's 17-7 victory over the Dolphins, suffered what Herman Edwards called a strained right knee and may sit out Sunday's game against Jacksonville. Martin, whose knee is swollen, underwent an MRI yesterday. The team fears the injury is serious.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Even if the MRI is negative, the Jets are believed to be leaning toward resting Martin with games against physically punishing defenses belonging to the Jaguars, Ravens and Bucs coming up. "We'll see," Edwards said of Martin's status against the Jags. ... If Martin can't go, Derrick Blaylock would replace him.
