The Facts:
Team officials said Tuesday that Boller will not require surgery on the toe, but will need at least another three weeks to heal. The earliest he could return is Oct. 16 against the Browns. But it's more likely he would be back Oct. 23 against the Bears or Oct. 31 against the Steelers.

Boller, who was on crutches and wearing a cast Tuesday at the team's training complex, got a second opinion on Monday from a North Carolina foot specialist. Baltimore is off this week then host the Jets and go to Detroit before facing the Browns.
