Manning will be in training camp on time after agreeing to a six-year, $54 million deal with the Giants on Thursday. The deal reportedly includes a signing bonus of $20 million -- the largest ever for a rookie.

The timely signing is obviously good news. As head coach Tom Coughlin recently noted: "I told [Manning] this on the day we drafted him that he's the future of the New York Giants at quarterback, whether it's game one, game eight, game 15." We suspect it'll be closer to Week 1 than 15.
