Though a final decision won't be made until Wednesday, Mike Nolan believes Alex Smith and Ken Dorsey won't be ready to return from injuries in time to prepare for the 49ers' game against the Giants on Sunday. That means the athletic, energetic Pickett -- a fourth-stringer just two weeks ago -- is the 49ers' only healthy option at QB.
