Charles Rogers is returning from a four-game suspension for substance abuse. Roy Williams hopes to be back after missing three games with a strained quadriceps. But Steve Mariucci said he wouldn't simply reinstate them as the starting receivers for Sunday's game at Minnesota.

The coach doesn't have many options, but he still sounds adamant. "We're going to have competition at these spots because I'm looking for a receiver or two or three to step up and be consistent and make some plays and get the job done," Mariucci said. "I want to see somebody do that. ..." We're with him. It'll be interesting to see how the former first-round picks respond this week.
