Citing team chemistry issues, Nick Saban said he is not ready to make a change at starting quarterback. "At this time," Saban added, "At this time." Saban realizes Frerotte is struggling. He has a 65.3 passer rating, which is 29th among 31 ranked NFL quarterbacks. But the coach doesn't think replacing Frerotte with Sage Rosenfels is the answer now. Reported by the Miami Herald

Saban is balancing the benching of an ineffective quarterback against the installation of an unproven player who might succeed but might fail to an even higher degree. Success by Rosenfels could salvage Miami's season. But coaches can't reasonably predict that success and failure would put the Dolphins in greater trouble.
