The Facts:
Boston's season will end on injured reserve again due to a left knee injury. The Dolphins placed the veteran wide receiver on IR Tuesday and signed wide receiver Cliff Russell. Boston missed all of last season with a torn tendon in his left knee. He played in five games this season and caught just four passes for 80 yards.  Reported by The Sports Ticker

The Dolphins acquired Boston - a former Pro Bowler - from the San Diego Chargers in March 2004 for the bargain price of a sixth-round draft pick. But Boston hasn't even proved to be worth that to Miami. ... Russell was signed by the Dolphins on October 12, but was released six days later.
