Insiders tell NBC Action News Sports Director Jack Harry that Holmes, very possibly, has played his final game in a Chiefs uniform. One highly placed source tells Harry, Holmes could announce his retirement as soon as Thursday.

Holmes arrived back in town Tuesday night after undergoing some extensive testing on his spine in Miami. Doctors reportedly found a lump and should Holmes take a severe hit, he could become paralyzed.
