Bill Cowher said Batch would be available for emergency duty if necessary, but Tommy Maddox opened the second half under center for the Steelers. It's worth noting that receiver Antwaan Randle El, the team's emergency quarterback with Ben Roethlisberger (knee) out, tossed a TD pass to Hines Ward on an end-around to open the second half.
