The Facts:
According to reports out of San Francisco, Arnaz Battle, who had a flap of cartilage removed from his knee on Tuesday, is active for today's game against the Seahawks. Frank Gore, however, was declared inactive along with fullback Fred Beasley (neck).

A healthy Battle would represent a boost for an offense that ranks last in the NFL and hasn't scored a touchdown the past three games. He could also divert some of the defensive attention from Brandon Lloyd. ... As for Gore, no reason was given for his deactivation. Those who follow the team closely have been predicting an expanded role for the rookie RB, but that obviously won't be the case this week.
