The Facts:
Following up on
an ongoing story. ... Adrian Peterson recently said publicly that he'd like the team to sign Burress. Another member of the Minnesota offense has followed suit. Receiver Percy Harvin, in an interview with Johnny D and The 757 Club of 1490 AM the Game in Virginia Beach, said that he "definitely, definitely" wants to play with Plaxico. "I think he's one of the best receivers to play the game," Harvin said, "so I would love to have him and get the opportunity to learn from him as I did [Randy] Moss and some of the other veterans I've played with."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Michael David Smith noted, the fact that Tony Dungy is working with Burress could make Minnesota a potential destination, given the presence of Dungy's friend and former colleague, Leslie Frazier, as the new HC of the team. And PFT's Mike Florio points out that Burress could be a more affordable alternative to Sidney Rice, a younger player who presumably will be looking for top dollar on the free-agent market. Right now, with the details of the CBA undetermined and Pro Football Weekly suggests Burress would strictly be a fallback option in case Rice is indeed unrestricted and makes a sudden exit once free agency opens. That won't be determined until the lockout ends. And for what it's worth, we'll remind Fantasy Football owners that while he's certainly a lock to sign with somebody this summer, Burress is by no means a lock to regain past form upon his return.
