The Facts:
Asked about Hardesty's availability for training camp, new HC Pat Shurmur replied: "To the best of my knowledge, he's progressing well and will be ready to participate (fully) once training camp starts. That's my understanding. We'll see when we finally get to training camp.'

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As previously noted, the Browns believe Hardesty can be a big-time back (especially combined with Peyton Hillis) in Shurmur's West Coast offense. He was not used much to catch passes at Tennessee, but the Browns believe he can do that -- much as Hillis did last season. While Hillis was clearly the team's most dangerous and productive offensive weapon last year, he just as clearly wore down because of it. At the very least, a healthy Hardesty might mean a fresher Hillis down the stretch.
