Facebook is a place where people can express their thoughts to a mostly private audience. Unfortunately for Britt, he agreed to be friends with Brendan Prunty, a writer for the Newark Star-Ledger. Prunty tweeted some of Britt's Facebook posts on Monday, when the receiver threatened to retire, told off commissioner Roger Goodell, changed his mind and agreed to accept any punishment for his multiple off-field violation, all in the span of one hour.

According to Prunty, Britt first wrote "Retiring from the NFL. F*** You Goddell." He followed that up with a new post a few minutes later, saying "My family is always here for me. I made mistakes and i am sorry i am going to change and become a better person and mentor for all my young fans. I will accept any penalty like a man. The road beings Sept 11 in Jacksonville. ill be ready!!!" Fifteen minutes after that, the receiver posted another update, writing "My fbook was hacked with those past 2 status's.. i am not retiring and do not have any hate toward the commissioner. ..." Britt, who has been arrested twice since April, is likely facing a suspension from Goodell when the lockout ends.
