The Facts:
Roethlisberger made a case for possibly bringing back former Steeler WR Plaxico Burress. Although he isn't pushing hard for it to happen, Roethlisberger is staying in touch with his former teammate now that he's a free man and a free agent. "I've talked to Plax a number of times in the last couple of weeks," Roethlisberger said, per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I told him, 'Hey, if you came back here that would be awesome, but I'm just happy to see you playing again' because he's a good guy."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Burress and Roethlisberger were neighbors in Pittsburgh for their one season together but the chances of the Steelers giving them a chance to buddy up again seem remote. ... Meanwhile, Roethlisberger expressed confidence that the Steelers are built to endure the chaos of the lockout. "It's not like we need a rookie center or a new QB, someone to learn the offense right away, so I think we are better equipped (to deal with the lockout) than we would be if we were a younger team," Roethlisberger said. "We don't need to fill many spots. I think that translates into a veteran team that can deal with things like this." Even without Burress.
