Britt is scheduled to appear in a New Jersey courtroom on July 12 on disorderly conduct charges, in the latest of a long line of off-field stories centering on Britt in the last few months. The Jersey Journal reports that Britt was originally scheduled to appear in the Hoboken Municipal Court this morning, but his hearing date was changed.

Britt was arrested on June 8 and initially charged with and charged with fourth-degree obstruction, fourth-degree tampering or fabricating evidence and third-degree resisting arrest with force. Those charges were reduced to disorderly conduct.
The June 8 arrest came only a day after Britt pleaded guilty to reduced charges arising from an April incident in which he tried to elude police officers who were pulling him over. As PFT's Michael David Smith notes, the Titans benched Britt for the first quarter of a game in October after he was reportedly involved in a bar brawl. Most recently, Britt claimed his Facebook account was hacked after a message appearing to come from him included an expletive aimed at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who is expected to discipline for Britt when the lockout ends. ...
