The Facts:

According to Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio,
this is not a good thing. In fact, Florio has been told (by a reliable source) that the lawyers, primarily Jeffrey Kessler and Jim Quinn, are hoping to persuade the players not to roll over in talks with the owners. But as Florio went on to explain, the problem is that, by all appearances, more and more players want to get a deal done. In the end, lawyers work for their clients and sometimes the lawyers need to be reminded of that fact, in no uncertain terms. It remains to be seen if that will be the case here, but it does seem like the attorneys remain the biggest impediment to getting a deal done here. .. Whatever the case, players were told in conference calls that there will be more negotiations this week involving Commissioner Roger Goodell, NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith, several owners and players at an undisclosed location. It will be interesting to see if the lawyers get an invite.
