an ongoing story. ... It appears Brown has come to terms with the possibility that he won’t return to Miami once the lockout ends and free agency begins. “It’s hard, but I am,” Brown said when asked if he’s prepared to play elsewhere after spending six seasons with the Dolphins. “I came to the realization that’s a possibility. Brown expressed disappointment in how his NFL career has gone thus far. He also talked about the journey that’s ahead, and admitted the biggest thing he’s focused on is earning the respect of his new club, and new teammates. He hopes to immediately step into a leadership role. “I feel like I have a whole lot left to give and I’m excited to see what happens,” Brown said. “I think I can still carry the load.” Brown volunteered that his goal is to find a team that puts him in position to win a championship. That will, of course, depend greatly on who needs backfield help the most. Denver and Washington have both been mentioned as possible destinations. Stay tuned. More when the lockout is lifted.
